3 Hot Summer Trends Worth Rocking!

I need to put out this disclaimer: TRENDS REPEAT THEMSELVES. You knew that already? Oh. True.

And since trends are like clockwork, I keep random trendy items on deck.  This saves me from spending unnecessary money on items I already have and keeps me looking slightly different from what people have in the "now" of the trend.  Most people wouldn't have what I have anymore because it's older... Or so I think.  So most of the trends that are out right now are already in my closet.  These are three trends that I will definitely be rocking this summer!

Studs. They are definitely it right now!  I like the look of studs against the unexpected - lace, intricate weaving, flowy dresses and tops - because it gives off an edgy vibe.  I will be studding my shoes for the summer.  I also have a studded leather vest from long ago that will segue me into the hot summer blaze and back into the coolness of fall.


Ombre Anything.  What is Ombre?  It's really just a fancy word for "gradient" if you ask me.  Ombre fabric fades from light to dark (or dark to light) gradually.  Nails, shirts, hair (it's really big right now), denim - you want it?  Then rock it!  I'll be rocking my ombre nails this summer!

Prints.  I love prints anyway (leopard is my favorite, by far), but I've been dabbling with mixing prints lately.  It's fun, it's fresh and it's exciting. Regardless of age, mixing prints will keep you looking young.  The key to making it work?  Make the mixing look effortless.  I've already started my print mixing, but I will most definitely keep it going throughout the summer.
